The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a stand-out communicator to specialise in communications across Founders Forum Group’s new ventures, events, businesses, and partnerships. As FF Group expands its offering to support more entrepreneurs at every stage of their journeys, we’re seeking a talented writer with a mastery of the English language, a passion for developing branded tones of voice, and an eagle eye for detail.

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will:

Help develop key messaging for various FF Group initiatives, drafting proactive and reactive communications and implementing feedback from key stakeholders to finalise joint and group-level messaging
Produce communications for new business launches and announcements across FF Group, including:
Press releases
Internal communications
Stakeholder communications
Internal & external FAQs
Website copy
Social media copy
Produce communications for FF events, including
Marketing emails
Event invites
Landing page & registration site copy
Signage copy
App copy
Guest book copy
Collaborate closely with our partners to shape and share their messaging before, during, and following FF events
Manage communications around our innovation hub activations and famous event gift bags for Founders Forum London
Collaborate closely with our Editor and Marketing Manager to maintain the FF website
Assist in the production of key event deliverables including executive summaries
Assist with Founders News (our fortnightly email newsletter) and Founders Insights (our newly launched content hub)
Assist with community engagement during high-volume periods (pre-events)
Produce communications for our employee value / recruitment proposition
Be the guardian of FFG’s newly minted tone of voice, maintaining a consistently FF tone in all external and internal communications and keeping copy fresh and exciting across all marketing and community touch-points
Pitch media and maintain rapport with journalists in FFG’s key markets
Compile earned media coverage reports

This is the role for you if…

You are an excellent writer
You understand how to tailor communications to owned, earned, and paid channels
You can toggle writing between different tones of voice and different formats
You have an understanding of PR best practices and an awareness of the UK and US media landscapes
You are a clear and confident communicator, comfortable dealing with a number of both internal and external stakeholders, managing competing deadlines, and remaining organised in a fast-paced working environment
You are a curious self-starter who begins by asking why; you take the time to understand the context of various projects before getting stuck in, then drive major results by independently connecting the dots and taking initiative
You have excellent time management skills and sharp attention to detail
You have experience writing on behalf of brands in different formats, including press releases, marketing emails, and social media content
You have experience managing a website via a CMS such as WordPress or equivalent
You have a startup mentality; you’re a team player, dedicated and diligent
You have a can-do attitude, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives
You have an active interest in tech, startups, and entrepreneurship

Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to synthesise complex themes and ideas into concise copy
Minimum 1-2 years experience in communications, PR, copywriting, or marketing role
Right to work in the UK
