Doctoral Degree Funding in Computer Science, University of Exeter, United Kingdom

Expires on: 03/31/2024

Description

Embark on a transformative research journey with a fully funded PhD Studentship in Computer Science at the University of Exeter. This exciting opportunity, supervised by Dr. Jingchao Jiang and Prof Voicu Ion Sucala, aims to revolutionize industries through the development of a new additive manufacturing technique and the design of an advanced 3D printing machine.

Additive Manufacturing (AM), or 3D printing, has the potential to revolutionize industries by facilitating the fabrication of complex and customized structures. This Ph.D. project focuses on developing a new additive manufacturing technique for specific materials. The research involves designing and developing a state-of-the-art 3D printing machine and exploring advanced strategies for optimizing the additive manufacturing process. The project encompasses the systematic characterization of new materials, simulations for designing suitable 3D printer structures, and a comprehensive study of process parameters to identify optimal conditions for specific materials.
