The Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim an der Ruhr, a prestigious research institution with a century-long history and two Nobel Prizes, announces exciting opportunities for PhD positions in Physical Organic Chemistry under the new research program, Fundamental Principles of Organic Reactivity. Led by Dr. Guanqi Qiu, the Qiu group explores groundbreaking concepts in organic reactivity and catalysis, providing a platform for innovative research and individual discovery.
Eligibility
Ideal candidates should possess a Master’s degree in organic or physical chemistry with research experience, a strong foundation in organic and physical chemistry, an explorative mindset for conceptual challenges, and excellent English language and communication skills. Candidates with less relevant experience will not be disadvantaged if they demonstrate strong potential.
