  • Description:Description The Centre of mission and global studies at VID Specialized University offers up to three 100% positions as a Ph.D. Research Fellow in Theology for a period of 3 years.  The position as Research Fellow at VID aims at achieving a Ph.D. Degree after completed research training. An achieved Ph.D. degree is a relevant qualification for positions within and outside academia. VID aims at connecting Ph.D. research projects to the activities of already existing research groups. Our research groups focus on research of high quality, cooperation with other academic institutions and academic publications in relevant research fields.A full overview of the Research groups at VID Specialized University can be found here. Candidates are asked to indicate which research group they are planning to join.Qualification 
    •  Master’s degree (120 ECTS) in theology. Degrees in religious studies, history of religion, comparative religion, sociology of religion, anthropology of religion, psychology of religion or other fields of study relevant to the call might be considered as relevant. Grades of the master’s thesis and relevant average grades of the master’s program must correspond to B or a higher mark to be considered
    • Good written and oral presentation skills in English
    • Ability to work targeted and independently
    • Ability to carry out and complete major tasks
    The following qualifications are also desirable:
    • Experience with relevant research work
    • Ability to work well with others

    Selection process A sorting committee will select the applications that are to be assessed by the expert committee. Please note that the project descriptions of applicants not selected for expert assessment will not receive a written evaluation. The decision of the sorting committee will not be made public.The expert committee will assess applicants based on competence, relevance to the call, and the quality of the project description. Emphasis will also be placed on the interview conducted with shortlisted applicants.Applicants must provide a list of 2-3 references that can be contacted in the event of shortlisting. Applicants invited to the interview must be able to submit certified copies of diplomas and certificates.
