Job Position: Human Resource / Admin Officer

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Responsibilities

  1. Organize and maintain personnel records
  2. Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave)
  3. Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides
  4. Revise company policies
  5. Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance
  6. Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates)
  7. Answer employees queries about HR-related issues.
  8. Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules).
  9. Arrange travel accommodations and process expense forms.
  10. Participate in HR projects (e.g. help organize a job fair event).
  11. Manage office supplies stock and place orders
  12. Prepare regular reports on expenses and office budgets
  13. Maintain and update company databases
  14. Organize a filing system for important and confidential company documents
  15. Answer queries by employees and clients
  16. Update office policies as needed
  17. Maintain a company calendar and schedule appointments
  18. Book meeting rooms as required
  19. Distribute and store correspondence (e.g. letters, emails and packages)
  20. Prepare reports and presentations with statistical data, as assigned
  21. Arrange travel and accommodations
  22. Schedule in-house and external events

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc in Human Resources or relevant field
  2. Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant or relevant role
  3. Experience with HR software, like HRIS or HRMS
  4. Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
  5. Thorough knowledge of labor laws
  6. Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
  7. Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills
  8. Good organization, time management and scheduling skills
  9. Basic bookkeeping experience, especially in accounts payable/receivable
  10. Experiencing using office management software, including word processing software and spreadsheets
  11. Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute with few errors
  12. Strong communication skills
  13. Ability to multitask
