Objective/Purpose of Job
To bridge the gap between clients and reinsurers.
Reports to MD

Duties & Responsibilities
• Organize and develop relationships to find capacities as well as corresponding clients.
• Manage relationships with the regulatory authority and ensure timely submission of NAICOM returns and avoidance of sanctions.
• Liaise with internal customers on invoicing, payments, and analysis of client’s portfolio.
• Develop, amend, and issue contract wordings, endorsements, and cover notes to clients.
• Collect and analyses data for new businesses and renewals.
• Produce final reinsurance documentation to confirm coverage to clients.
• Collect and analyses relevant information, bordereaux and prepare market submissions as well as presentations for new business and/ or renewals.
• Obtain quotations for cover from the market.
• Accompany the Brokers to client visits when required.
• Assist in tender processes and preparation for potential new clients – this includes doing research to understand clients’ needs and portfolio.
• Do amendments on contract wordings, issue endorsements, send cover slips to Reinsurers and issue cover notes to clients.
• Take ownership and initiative in resolving queries and problems efficiently.
• Process clients’ contracts and documentation on Re-Sure system.
• Submit contract documentation directly to clients and make necessary follow ups on outstanding documentation.
• Appropriate record keeping.
• Review and check reinsurance documentation to ensure that it satisfies client requirements and other regulatory standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients and reinsurers.
• Responsible for engaging in business development and/or contributing directly or indirectly to all business development efforts in Group.
• Get involved in claims queries when necessary.
• Any other assigned duties
Education/Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.
• Relevant professional qualifications. CII or CIIN.1

• An analytical mind.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience.

Skill Set Required.
• Communication and writing skills.
• Microsoft office suites.
• Proven industry experience
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Financial Targets – As set by supervising officer.
Operational Targets – As stated in the operational manual.
