If you think you have the qualities of a leader, apply for our Student Leadership Award. The award is for students who have displayed they are a leader in and out of the classroom.
Eligibility
To apply, you must be a full-time student in the department.
You must also demonstrate strong leadership skills, which should be documented in a brief resume.
If you have been involved in any of the math clubs, participated in math competitions, attended presentations at professional conferences and colloquia, they want to know about it.
You can also display your leadership abilities through tutoring and related assistant functions or other activities on and off campus.
Also, if you’ve been published in any publications, you should note that as well.

Application
Applications will be made available in late spring and can be picked up in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, room 465. They also encourage faculty to nominate students.
