Job Description & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Managing Director and provide support in all Health and Safety functions within the assigned project site.
Conduct regular safety and risk inspections and assessments to identify hazards and enforce compliance
Prepare HSE Plans, Audits, Reports and Trainings as may be required on project basis.
Provide support to waste management team and sub-contractors, supervisors and field staff to develop and execute health and safety plans that ensure that there is a prevalent culture of Health and Safety within the assigned project site.
Evaluate the workplace environment and develop safety-management policies that identify and define the safety responsibilities of all employees.
Enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
Organize regular talks & lead in-house training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
Develop HSE plans, policies & programs, and ensure implementation to achieve HSE objectives.
Advice management and staff on HSE related issues in accordance with best practices and international and local standards
Coordinate and supervise project site by providing Health and Safety program, plans and ensuring implementation in compliance with relevant standard
Develop and implement the company HSE management system in line with best practices and standards
Develop, design and conduct HSE trainings to all staff to enhance HSE culture
Consult with other external authorities and other industry/company experts in order to keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practice in HSE
Certify all sub-contractors to ensure compliance with the company HSE policies and standards
Maintain all required environmental records and documentation
Monitor and inspect fire extinguishers, fire alarms facilities and ensure reliability in event of fire emergency
Issuance of Work Permits (PTW) for Hazardous task
Conduct toolbox talks and pep talks
