Role: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Port Harcourt
Responsibilities:
đź“ŤDevelop finance strategies; lead budgeting and forecasting; support strategic and business planning and possible expansion.
📍Drive the company’s financial planning
Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
đź“ŤLiaise with external financial services organizations, and investors as may be required, to ensure the business remains adequately funded in terms of Debt, Equity and Working Capital requirements.
đź“ŤDecide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
📍Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
đź“ŤOversee and advice management on investment activities; provide advice/recommendations relating to financial and tax considerations of investments, as well as other business transactions
đź“ŤSupervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers etc.)
đź“ŤCoordinate the preparation of financial statements; review and ensure accuracy of accounting records; ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
đź“ŤPrepare reliable current and forecasting reports
📍Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies: ensure all departments comply with all relevant tax laws: PAYE, VAT, WHT, CGT etc
Requirements:
- Proven experience in top financial management role
- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
- Ability to strategize and solve problems
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
