We are looking for a system administrator to maintain, upgrade, and manage our software and hardware. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. The system administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all computer systems and networks at the supermarket. This includes servers, workstations, printers, and other hardware and software. The system administrator also provides technical support to users and ensures that all systems are secure and compliant with all applicable regulations.
Job Description
Manage network servers and technology tools
Set up accounts and workstations
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
Troubleshoot issues and outages
Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
Upgrade systems with new releases and models
Install and configure software and hardware
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
2+ years of experience as a system administrator
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange
Experience with VMware and other virtualization technologies
Experience with networking protocols and security best practices
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
