POSITION DESCRIPTION

At Weber we are looking to hire for the role of, Planner, you will be satisfying customer requirements through effective stock control and the creation and management of production schedules. Responsible for the buying of raw materials and packaging to support schedules and stocking requirements. At all times brings the customer to the heart of the Supply Chain by effectively communicating their requirements.

The Weber story starts back in 1900 when two companies – Weber and Broutin – were founded in France, merging in 1927. Over the next century, Weber expanded across European markets before joining the Saint-Gobain group in 1996.

We specialise in the manufacture of industrial mortar products including renders and decorative finishes, tile fixing products, floor screeds, technical mortars, and external wall insulation systems. Based on our strong expertise of industrial mortars, we offer a complete solution including services which complement our products including technical support and training. Our training programmes meet the needs of our customers, providing specifiers, developers, and contractors with substantial support before, during and after contract periods.

This role can be worked on a Hybrid basis, at least 1 day per week is required in the office.

What will I be doing in the role?

Takes personal responsibility for own and team safety and promotes safe working practices across the business so as to cause no harm in the workplace and keep everyone safe
Actively monitors all raw material, packaging deliveries and expedites late deliveries while actively interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders to promote a positive and collaborative environment
Fully responsible for production planning/scheduling and ensures that it is conducted to documented standards, timescales and procedures, resolving issues in a timely manner
Looks to continuously improve the production planning process by working closely with the Production Team. Participate and contribute to the activities of the Operations Management Team
Endeavours to improve skills in order to increase personal contribution to the company and own potential for development and progression
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Is this role right for me?

Can do attitude and is proactive to resolve issues and enquiries
Experience of MRP systems such as SAP and strong Excel knowledge
Strong problem-solving skills/data oriented and can analyse statistics
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in a planning related role
