Job Description
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
Manage outsourced functions
Advise colleagues and executive management on decisions related to the company’s finances.
Supervise the documentation of the company’s financial status and forecasts
Mediate between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders, and investors on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences.
Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts.
Plan, organize, and execute financial tasks and projects of the organization.
Manage and monitor department activities, metrics, KPI tracking, and reports.
Actively engage in knowledge management and transfer in Finance Department.
Arrange for equity financing and/or debt financing as applicable.
Maintain relationships with bank representatives and financiers Budgeting
Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction
Develop and implement plans for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Manage the capital budgeting process, based on constraint analysis and discounted cash flow analysis Financial Analysis
Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
Review the performance of competitors and report on key issues to management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s in Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy or related field.
Previous/current supervisory/managerial role recommended
MBA is an added advantage ICAN/ACCA qualification
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in either banking or/and Telecommunications industry. In depth understanding of intercompany transactions
Expertise with ERP systems and practices.
Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
