Job Position: Production Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

1. The Furniture showcase, a subsidiary of Teal Harmony Ltd is looking for an experienced Production Manager to organize and oversee the manufacturing of furnitures.
2. You will be ultimately responsible for planning, organizing and controlling furniture production to ensure that products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard.
3. We expect you to have deep know-how in Furniture production procedures. If you are up to it, we would like to talk to you.

Job Responsibilities

1. Estimate production costs and set production budgets
2. Manage production budgets and Implement cost control programs
3. Plan a production schedule for the job and ensure Implementation and control the production schedule
4. Review and adjust the schedule where needed
5. Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management
6. Determine the human and material resources required
7. Manage human and material resources to meet production targets
8. Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement when required
9. Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
10. Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to
11. Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
12. Set and Monitor product quality standards
13. Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives and timelines
14. Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems
15. Determine and implement improvements to the production process
16. Prepare and maintain production reports
17. Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement

Job Requirements

1. HND/Degree in any field of study with 3-4 years’ relevant experience Project management
2. Knowledge and experience in Furniture production or manufacturing processes and techniques would be an added advantage
3. Knowledge of business, finance or management principles would be a plus
4. Knowledge of raw materials and quality systems and standards
5. knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
6. knowledge of machines and tools would be an advantage
7. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader
8. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day
9. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP software will be preferred
