- Description:Description This project will develop and evaluate a novel delivery mechanism for anti-methanogenic supplements in grazing livestock. The controlled intra-ruminal release of active-agents will provide a sustained slow-release dose removing the requirement for daily dietary dosing of livestock.It will involve both hands on work with cattle, measurement of emissions, and will include sampling of microbiome, bioinformatics and statistical analysis. Assessment at various life stages will be carried out to determine the optimal supplementation protocol to achieve maximum emissions reductions for the Australian beef industry.Benefits The scholarship includes:
