The eNargiZinc Doctoral Network, focusing on innovative and affordable sodium- and zinc-based electrochemical energy storage systems, is set to announce 11 forthcoming PhD research positions. Funded by the European Union under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks, this project aims to commence in January 2024, providing an exciting opportunity for researchers to contribute to the development of sustainable energy storage solutions.The research within eNargiZinc spans across Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physical Chemistry, and Applied Chemistry. The focus is on developing innovative and affordable electrochemical energy storage devices using sustainable materials and low environmental-impact production processes.eNargiZinc aims to advance knowledge, technology, and commercially exploitable products related to next-generation electrochemical energy storage devices. The project targets long-term sustainability through the use of abundant and renewable materials. Researchers will engage in a comprehensive training-through-research program, exploring sodium-ion batteries, zinc-air batteries, and zinc-ion batteries/supercapacitors
Eligibility: Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Chemistry. Strict eligibility criteria include compliance with the mobility rule, not having been awarded a doctoral degree at the time of recruitment, and the ability to enroll in a doctoral program at the hosting institution.
