Description
The Institut FOTON and IETR invite applications for a PhD position in the field of optical actuation of phase change materials (PCM) for versatile microwave functions. This project, part of the French national project MACIEO, offers an exciting opportunity to develop reconfigurable microwave circuits using PCM. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of experts from various disciplines and institutions.
The main objective of this PhD project is to develop reconfigurable microwave circuits in the [10, 30] GHz frequency range using optical actuation of PCM materials. The candidate will be involved in material characterizations, RF simulation and measurements, and device processing. Collaboration with experts from Institut FOTON and IETR will provide access to state-of-the-art facilities and expertise. The project offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research at the interface of materials, optics, and microwave electronics.
