Description
Join Prof. G. Del Sal’s Cancer Cell Signalling Laboratory at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) in Trieste, Italy. We are seeking highly motivated post-doctoral researchers to lead ambitious projects focused on discovering new strategies to combat metastasis through exploring the connections between mechanosignaling and oncogenic pathways. The research is funded by the AIRC 5×1000 program “Metastasis as a Mechanodisease” ID22759.
The selected candidate will embark on a 24-month position starting in June 2024. Responsibilities include conducting research projects aimed at understanding the role of mechanosignaling and oncogenic pathways in tumor cell interaction with the tissue microenvironment. The candidate will work within an international and multidisciplinary team, utilizing state-of-the-art research facilities. Collaboration with affiliated institutions and extensive national and international collaborations will be encouraged.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a PhD degree in molecular biomedicine, genetics, biology, pharmacology, or a related field of life sciences.
- Strong background in cancer biology.
- Extensive hands-on experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques.
- Previous experience in animal manipulation, imaging, and mechanobiology techniques.
- Proficiency in English, excellent communication skills, teamwork attitude, and strong motivation.
