The Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization in Göttingen, Germany, is offering a Ph.D. position in Biological Physics within the independent research group “Theory of Biological Fluids,” led by Dr. David Zwicker. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research on the organization principles of liquid-like droplets in biological cells and broader questions in biological physics. Qualifications
- Master’s degree (or comparable) in physics, applied mathematics, or related disciplines from a recognized university
- Interest in biological physics, soft matter, statistical physics, and complex systems (previous experience not required)
- Strong quantitative skills (data analysis and programming)
- Eagerness to learn new skills and apply established ones
- Proficiency in English
