Job Title: Senior Laboratory Analyst

Job Summary

  • The Quality Control Analyst role entails ensuring the highest quality standards of our products.
  • You will be responsible for implementing quality control procedures, conducting thorough inspections, and maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory standards.
  • Your meticulous attention to detail and analytical skills will contribute to the delivery of premium quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards. Perform sensory evaluations, chemical tests, and physical analyses as necessary.
  • Quality Testing: Conduct comprehensive quality tests on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished vegetable oil products. This includes sensory evaluation, chemical analysis, and microbiological testing.
  • Process Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate various stages of the vegetable oil refining process, identifying deviations from quality norms. Collaborate with production teams to address and rectify quality issues promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, including test results, batch records, and inspection reports. Prepare accurate and comprehensive documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with production teams to establish and enforce quality assurance procedures throughout the production process. Conduct regular checks on production activities to ensure compliance.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality-related incidents or defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement preventive measures.
  • Housekeeping and GMP: Maintain impeccable housekeeping standards within the laboratory and quality control area. Adhere strictly to GMP guidelines, ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of equipment, workspaces, and personal hygiene to produce safe and high-quality products
  • Sampling and Testing: Collect samples from different stages of production and conduct thorough testing using appropriate laboratory equipment. Interpret test results and initiate corrective actions if necessary.
  • Adherence to Standards: Ensure that all quality tests are conducted in accordance with established standards, of operation (SOP), and GMP guidelines.

The Person

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control within the food industry, preferably in vegetable oil refining or a related sector.
  • 30 – 35 years of age is eligible to apply.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate quality-related information and insights.
  • Proficiency in various quality testing methods, instruments, and laboratory equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address quality issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with quality management software and MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate testing and documentation.
