Business Development Manager (Oil and Gas Servicing Firm)
Location: Lagos (Island)
Reports To: Managing Director
Compensation: Base Pay is N600k to N650k monthly + Performance Bonus, Medicals, and Pension.
Our client is a leading Oil & Gas/Engineering Servicing firm that specializes in project management, subsea engineering, technical consultancy, inspection, maintenance and repair services, and training for Offshore Oil & Gas, Marine Renewable Energy, and Offshore Terminal industries across the globe.
The Company is seeking to hire an innovative and result-oriented Business Development Manager to work with the MD to develop marketing and business plans for the achievement of revenue goals and growth for the organization.
Job Objectives: The key objective of the role shall include;
- To support the growth aspirations of the Company by working with the Managing Director to develop marketing and business plans towards the achievement of the company’s revenue goals.
- Create and manage the opportunity spreadsheet ensuring all actions required to win an opportunity are adequately closed out and key relationships developed and maintained.
- To achieve a full understanding of the business trends and stay in touch with them, as well as develop close working relationships with key contact personnel within the company’s field of specialization.
- To work with the Managing Director to develop new partnerships with foreign companies wanting to bring their business to Nigeria.
- To attain and demonstrate strong product/service knowledge in order to effectively communicate and show initiative during client interaction.
- To organize & attend Business Development meetings with existing & future clients.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of delivering on revenue targets or goals in the Engineering or Oil & Gas servicing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Engage in active market research to identify new business opportunities for the Company.
Fully participate in industry-related conferences and client forums as a company representative.
Prepare and execute relevant presentations to new and existing clients.
Prepare and issue minutes of business development meetings with new and existing clients.
Develop and maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge about business practices and industry trends.
Key Requirements
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering. MBA will be an added advantage
7+ years in Business Development activities related to our service offering
Subsea engineering and experience with technical consultancy will be an added advantage
Flexibility and adaptability to new situations and challenges
Excellent communication skills
Solid presentation and negotiation skills
