Description
The ERC-funded project “THERMO2DEAL” seeks a talented PhD student to explore the thermal characterization of 2D materials and their applications in electrochemical devices. Under the supervision of Dr. Muñoz Rojo at ICMM-CSIC, the selected candidate will utilize advanced thermometry techniques to study the thermal properties of 2D materials and thin films. Additionally, they will investigate the behavior of electrochemical devices based on these materials under in operando conditions. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and expand the understanding of thermal phenomena at the nanoscale.
Qualification:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Physics or Thermal/Electrical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of thermal transport, particularly at nano-and micro-scale.
- Experience with experimental laboratory work, especially in thermal characterization techniques.
- Critical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive team player with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
How to Apply:
Interested candidates should submit their applications via email to m.m.rojo@csic.es. Required documents include a CV, BSc and MSc grade lists, publication list (if applicable), documentation of English proficiency, letters of recommendation, and a motivation letter. Interviews will be conducted primarily via video conference.
