GENERAL MANAGER NEEDED
A fast growing retail brand is in need of General Manager (GM)
Experience in Banking, Entertainment, Retail, or FMCG is strongly considered.
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Responsibilities:
- Design strategy and set goals for growth
- Control budgets and optimize expenses
- Formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies.
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
- Direct the employee assessment process
- Prepare regular reports for upper management
- Ensure company and staff follows health and safety regulations
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, loss of business to competitors)
- Create brand and product awareness
- Come up with brand promotions to generate revenue
- Create and seal brand contract and partnership deals
Requirements and skills
- Proven minimum 10-15 years experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
- Experience in planning and budgeting
- Knowledge of business processes and functions (Finance, HR, Operations etc.)
- Strong analytical ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- BSc/BA in Business or relevant field (MSc/MA is a plus)
