Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled Geophysicist who will play a crucial role in our marine survey projects. As a Geophysicist, you will be responsible for interpreting and analyzing geophysical data collected during our marine surveys. You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including surveyors, engineers, and project managers, to provide accurate and comprehensive geophysical assessments. Your work will contribute directly to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Process, analyze, and interpret geophysical data collected during marine surveys.
- Utilize industry-standard software and tools to generate detailed reports and maps.
- Conduct geophysical modeling and provide recommendations based on data analysis.
- Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure project objectives are met.
- Assist in planning and executing marine survey operations, including data acquisition and processing.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in geophysical techniques and technologies.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to support business development activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics or a related field.
- Proven experience in marine geophysical data analysis and interpretation. At least 4-5 years in the marine survey.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard software and tools for geophysical analysis.
- Strong understanding of geophysical modeling techniques and their application.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Familiarity with the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry is a plus.
Location:
The position is based in Port Harcourt Nigeria. Occasional travel to project sites may be required.
