Louisiana State University offers multiple graduate research assistant positions and one postdoctoral research associate position in Dr. Marvel’s research group. The research centers on evaluating processing-structure-property relationships of nanostructured metals and ceramics. Eligibility

Minimum qualifications for Graduate Research Assistants:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related field.
  • Strong understanding or experience in electron microscopy, solid-state sintering, powder metallurgy, and high-performance computing.
  • Coding experience in MATLAB or Python is highly recommended.
