Applications are open for the Hon. Gaza Jonathan Gbefwi 2023/2024 Scholarship Programme. The Scholarship Program is targeted towards the indigenes of Nasarawa state who are specifically from Karu, Keffi and Kokona federal constituency. And whose access to higher education is impeded by economic and social barriers.
The program is an initiative designed to develop the next generation of transformative leaders by providing the opportunity for highly talented, service-oriented individuals, to pursue their higher education and grow their leadership potential.
Aim and Benefits
- The Hon. Gaza Jonathan Gbefwi Scholarship will cover the entire costs of the expenses required to sponsor the successful candidate on his/her education till graduation.
Requirements
- Open only to indigenes of Nasarawa state, who are specifically from Karu, Keffi and Kokona federal constituency.
- Applicant must have applied to any of the public tertiary institutions and have the full qualifications to gain admission
- Directors, Officers, and employees of the Sponsor or the Administrator and any of their respective parent campanies, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, professional advisors, and advertising and promotional agencies, and their immediate families and household members, are not eligible to enter the Scholarship Contest
- Applicant must be ready to register for a full-time program in January 2024
- Applicant must be able to prove that access to university studies is impeded by social and economic barriers

SELECTION CRITERIA:
Submissions will be judged in accordance with the following criteria, unless otherwise specified:
- Jamb Score
- Essay; thoughtfulness of response, relevance to question, quality of composition, and grammatical accuracy
- Priority will be given to indigents and high performers!
