The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is a prestigious, competitive international exchange program funded by the U.S. Department of State. The program brings accomplished professionals from around the world to the United States for a year of non-degree, academic study and professional development.
The Humphrey Fellowship Program is designed to provide mid-career professionals with the opportunity to gain practical experience in their fields, build leadership skills, and learn about American society, culture, and values. Fellows are placed at universities and other institutions across the United States, where they participate in professional development activities, attend seminars and workshops, and pursue independent study projects.
The program is open to individuals from a wide range of fields, including agriculture, forestry, and fisheries; economics; education; engineering; environmental management; health; journalism and mass communication; law and human rights; public administration and policy; and public health. To be eligible, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of professional experience in their field, and must demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to public service.
