JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Human Capital Management (HCM) Officer, you will be responsible for managing all human resource functions of the organization and developing strategies for acquiring, developing, and retaining talent. You will measure and analyze workforce data to inform
decision-making and identify ways to optimize the organization’s human capital to support its
long-term goals and objectives.

Specifically, you will:

Optimize workforce productivity by leveraging technology to make data-driven decisions on compensation, work schedules, and other HR functions.

Focus on strategic planning and development related to the organizational human capital.

Ensure that the right people are hired and managed effectively to support the organization’s goals and objectives.

Contribute to creating a high-performance culture that supports long-term goals.
By taking a strategic approach to human capital management, you will help the organization build a strong and engaged workforce that is aligned with its mission and vision. Key Roles, Responsibilities and Qualifications Primary Role
The primary responsibility of the HCM Officer is to provide strategic leadership and direction for all HR functions within the organization. This
includes reviewing and implementing changes to HR policies and
procedures that support the Organizations overall mission and goals, as well as ensuring that the Organization is compliant with all relevant laws and
regulations.

Responsibilities

Work closely with senior leadership team to align HR strategies with the organization’s overall strategic plan.

Conduct workforce analysis and use data to inform decision-making.
Lead and manage internal projects related to human capital
management.

Review HR policies and procedures, implement changes and ensure
compliance with Nigerian labor laws/regulations and international
standards.

Communicate changes to employees and provide counseling on HR policies and procedures.

Monitor compliance and acceptance of HR policies and procedures
across the organization.

Manage recruitment and onboarding processes and implement strategies
for acquiring, developing, and retaining talent.

Design and implement learning and development programmes that help
employees acquire new skills and knowledge.

Provide avenues for re-skilling/up-skilling opportunities.

Develop and implement compensation and benefit programmes that are competitive and aligned with the organization’s overall strategy.

Manage employee relations issues, including conflicts, grievances, and
disciplinary actions.

Oversee the exit process to ensure that it is handled efficiently,
professionally, and in compliance with the organization’s policies and legal requirements.

Manage and maintain the organization’s HR technology solution that
automates HR processes, such as recruiting, onboarding, and
performance management.

Continuously work to identify additional HR processes that can be
automated.

Monitor the use of the HR technology solution to ensure it continues to
meet the organization’s needs.

Work with managers and employees to implement performance
management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and performance improvement plans.

Support managers and other HR/Admin representatives across the organization in driving and ensuring a consist approach to human capital
management across the organization.

Champion a culture of engagement and collaboration throughout the organization, based on organization values of creativity, learning,
collaboration, continuous improvement and transparency.

Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format.

Minimum qualifications, skills and experience

A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.

CIPM certification is required, international certifications in addition to this are desired i.e., CIPD, HRCI, SHRM, etc.

Demonstrated experience in human resources, talent management, or a related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR policies and
procedures

Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and regulations

Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

At least 4 – 6 years of HR experience, with 2 – 3 years in a leadership role

Experience with HR technology and data analysis tools.

Experience dealing with employees with varied workstyles i.e., remote,
and on-site.

Experience in HR and talent management for a parent company is an
added advantage
