Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in talent acquisition, recruitment and exit management processes
-Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
-Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leave and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
-Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
-Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies
-Monitor the performance of staff to identify high fliers for further motivation and non-performing staff for further training or exit where necessary
-Use a system and work with all line managers to manage a detailed leave schedule of all staff to ensure that staff take the approved annual leave and return as at when due
-Manage a proactive succession planning strategy by identifying star performers and pairing them up with young, intelligent and assertive employees who will understudy them for better performance
-Identify one-man risks and immediately initiate a succession plann
-Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
-Organize periodic bi-annual employee performance/Appraisal reviews and draft plans to address any identified training need/gaps as well as resolve any supervisor-employee grievances/challenges
-Manage both general and specific organizational training plans, leveraging training needs and gaps identified during the performance review, to ensure continuous employee development or exit where necessary
-Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
-Ensure employees’ compliance with workplace ethics and dressing
-Ensure compliance with labor regulations
-Conduct employee engagement survey yearly to ascertain the motivation and commitment of all staff across all levels
-Recommend strategies to motivate and retain employees.
-Objectively investigate complaints brought forward by employees.
-Manage the organization’s employee database and prepare reports.
-Produce and submit reports on general HR activity as it affects the business.
-Forecast the organization’s employee needs based on previous and existing business workloads
Requirements:
-Minimum of 2-years’ experience as a HR Generalist/Business Partner
-Understanding of general human resources policies, procedures and best practices
-Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
-Excellent people management skills
-BSc/BA in Business administration or relevant field
-Additional HR training/Master’s degree will be a plus
-Excellent record-keeping skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
-Superb computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HR software.
-Good organizational and conflict management skills.
-Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
-Meticulous with keen attention to detail.
