PhD Positions in Applied Physics, Luleå University of Technology, Sweden

Expires on: 05/02/2024

Luleå University of Technology invites applications for a fully funded Ph.D. position in Applied Physics with a focus on accelerating nanomaterial growth simulations using machine learning. The project involves developing machine learning force fields to accelerate molecular dynamics simulations for nanomaterial growth

The project aims to accelerate nanomaterial growth simulations through the development of machine learning force fields. The selected Ph.D. candidate will conduct research in the Division of Materials Science, focusing on atomistic modeling and electronic structure theory methods. The candidate will work closely with other theory and experimental groups to advance research in the field.

Eligibility:

  • Master’s degree in engineering physics, physics, chemistry, materials science, or a related subject
  • Excellent knowledge in computation of nanomaterials, quantum physics, solid-state physics, atomic and molecular physics
  •  Experience in atomistic modeling and machine learning is advantageous
  • Good command of English is mandatory

Documents:

  1. CV
  2. Personal letter
  3. Copies of verified diplomas from high school and universities
