Description
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, specifically the Silberman Institute of Life Sciences – The Harel Lab, invites applications for a Postdoc position in the field of experimental biology focusing on vertebrate aging and age-related diseases. This opportunity is part of a new ERC project, offering a chance to contribute to cutting-edge research on the molecular basis of aging and the diversity in vertebrate lifespan.
The Harel lab explores fundamental questions in aging research, investigating why aging strongly influences disease and the molecular basis of the diversity in vertebrate lifespan. The research involves advanced genome engineering for the turquoise killifish model, in-vivo imaging, single-cell and computational approaches, as well as disease modeling in mammalian models. The lab is currently seeking two talented and enthusiastic PhD students and postdocs to join the project, providing the option to focus on either computational or experimental approaches.
How to Apply:
Interested candidates should send an email including their CV, contact details for 2-3 references, and a brief statement outlining their experimental and/or computational skills and expressing interest in the lab’s work.
