As part of the ETH Domain, Empa’s Laboratory for Thin Films and Photovoltaics is internationally recognized for groundbreaking research in thin-film photovoltaics, thin-film batteries, and printed electronics. This postdoc position offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of thin-film solid-state batteries, particularly in a collaborative European project focusing on Gen4 solid-state batteries.
Qualification:
- PhD degree in physics, materials science, engineering, or a related field obtained within the last 3 years
- Hands-on experience with PVD methods (e.g., magnetron sputtering, evaporation)
- Familiarity with electrochemical and material characterization techniques is advantageous
- High level of experimental skills and scientific creativity
- Team player with a sense of personal responsibility
- Willingness to co-supervise semester, master, and PhD students
- Proficient in English (written and spoken)
