The Center for Embedded Systems and Cyber-Physical Systems (CECS) at the UC Irvine anticipates the availability of a postdoctoral scholar-employee position for postdoctoral scholars to join a collaborative research group led by Prof. Pramod Khargonekar, Prof. Magnus Egerstedt, and Prof. Mohammad Al Faruque. This collaboration is focused on developing novel collaborative machine learning-based control and decision-making strategies for multi-agent systems that can dynamically adjust and collaborate to achieve system-level missions in adversarial and uncertain environments. Desired background includes control theory, multi-agent systems, machine learning algorithms including reinforcement learning and graph learning, embedded systems design, modeling and simulation control systems, and computer programming (C++ and/or Python). The role requires excellent writing skills.
The role also requires working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are preferred.
