We are recruiting for the position of an innovative procurement manager to lead our procurement team. You will spearhead
the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring stock optimization, as well as
provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes.
Our procurement manager will be a supply chain and logistics expert who will specialize in
implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, as required by the company.
Ensuring quality control and adhering to the company’s policies and procedures on supply chain
management will be some of your main priorities when carrying out this role.
Job Responsibilities
Developing procurement and category strategies that are inventive and cost-effective, resulting in exceptional growth for sales volumes, margins and conversion rates.
Delivering a strategy for future growth by building the most pertinent assortment of
products.
Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
Monitoring stock levels and planning the purchasing policy well in advance.Having an accurate knowledge of competition: who they are, what prices they have and
their products.
Analyzing consumer buying behavior and predicting future trends.
Attending trade fairs / events and sourcing for new products.
Liaising with various teams within the organization to ensure a smooth flow of
operations.
Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on
procurement costs.
Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply
of goods.
Establishing procurement plans that will be presented to the top management for strategic decisions.
Producing and presenting Monthly sales reports.
Qualifications:
Must be quick learner that quickly finds efficient ways to solve problems.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or
similar.
2 years and above work experience in a similar capacity
Proven experience managing supply chain operations or operations.
Experience using supply chain management software and tools.
In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation
terms.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Management and leadership skills.
Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
