Job Position: Project Accountant

Job Location: Yaba, Lagos

Job Description

2. We are seeking a finance manager to join our team. You will be working at improving accounting departments for our clients and have a proactive attitude.
3. You will be working within a project team to deliver the client’s system with a focused approach to ensuring the client’s brief is met.

Job Responsibilities

1. The project accountant will be responsible for undertaking the implementation of accounts onto an accounting system.
2. Ability to record the trading activity of a company and implement onto a system with being able to create a true trading position by reviewing Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, P and L, General Ledger, Aged debtors reports, etc and verify the full chart of accounts.
3. A knowledge of IFRS is required.
4. Ability to work with and lead a team of accountants.

Job Responsibilities
Operational:

1. Reconciling various company’s accounts within an implementation project.
2. Reviewing and implementing ledgers on assets, liabilities, income, expenses and equity to provide relevant information to Management.
3. Ability to monitor and review creditors and debtors ledgers

Key Performance Indicators

1. Quality, adequacy and accuracy of documentation.
2. Accuracy of reconciliation documentation.
3. Timeliness and accuracy of management reports
4. Strong experience of using spreadsheets
5. Can manage multiple tasks concurrently
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Requirements

• ACCA/ACA accountancy qualification is an added advantage
• 2 – 3 years work experience, you must have played a key role in the daily operations of the accounts department.
• Key knowledge of basic accounting principles and double entry is a must
• The required age range for this role is 25 – 28 years old. 29 years old and above will not be considered for the role.
