Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Responsibilities
Engine room watch keeping and general cleaning of machineries in the engine room
Assist Chief Engineer during maintenance of main and auxiliary engines, and other ancillary machineries
Replacement of filters, lube oil, hydraulic oil and other oils in the main and auxiliary engines
Preparation and maintenance of rough log records
Assist Chief Engineer in maintaining adequate inventory of mechanical equipment spares and request replacements as required 6. Carryout other jobs as assigned by the Chief Engineer onboard
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
MEA Certificate of Competency or OOW
HND in Marine Engineering
Associate certificate from NIMASA approved Maritime institution.
STCW Basic Mandatory certificates
NIMASA Medicals
Discharge Book
Yellow Book
International Passport
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience
Competencies:
Trouble shooting
Panel reading
Installation
Repairs
Attention to details
Dedication to duty
Punctuality
Perfect termination
Soldering skills
Knowledge of electrolytes.
