A vacancy has arisen within our Earthmoving Workshop based in Biggleswade for a Workshop Supervisor. The role contributes to the success of the Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd by providing effective and timely support to the workshop. In doing so, the role, reporting to the Workshop Manager, will ensure that maximum support is provided so as to enable the department to achieve its key performance indicators and objectives whilst maintaining a service to both internal and external customers whilst ensuring outstanding customer service at all times whilst ensuring outstanding customer service at all times and working within the Company’s key result areas; Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership.

Your Responsibilities
Effectively handles the administration required as part of the role
Prepare estimates as required
Provide assistance to the Workshop Manager with regards to work planning
Support the administration of the quality control system within the Workshop
Provide effective leadership to and training and development of direct reports
Effectively maintain a healthy and safe working environment at all times
Provide hands on technical assistance to Workshop Engineers as and when required
Working closely with Workshop Engineers is able to identify and provide recommendations for closing skills gaps
Works with the customer in mind and contributes towards ideas and initiatives that drive the improvement of both internal and external relationships
Drive increased customer satisfaction by ensuring workmanship delivers a quality as would be expected from a leading manufacturer
Promotes a positive and professional image to customers both internal and external at all times, especially in face-to-face discussion at the workshop site
Takes the initiative to liaise with other internal departments as appropriate to exploit possible opportunities identified with existing customers and work in progress
Identify opportunities and contribute to winning ideas that further develop systems and processes and improve working practices
Working closely with the Workshop Manager to identify and provide recommendations for closing skill gaps for Workshop Engineers and Apprentices.
To ensure control of job card flow to invoice.
Your Profile
The successful candidate will require the following:
Completion of relevant apprenticeship in similar environment
Ability to demonstrate application of technical skills in similar industry
Good communicator at all levels
Flexible approach to work
