Job Responsibilities
- To ensure efficient service delivery to customers and ensure customer satisfaction for all new old services and support related service on the wireless platform
- Corporate Customers: Restore service failures within 4 hours of its occurrence- Implementation and integration of new projects.
- Incident Management Communication: Provide prompt feedback for input into the OTRS Application with information relating to activities being carried
- out to resolve customer service incidents.
- Preventive Maintenance: Identify, plan and execute nodes/segment that require preventive maintenance on the network.
- Identify, plan and execute nodes/segment that require preventive maintenance on the network
- Perform standard installation on all wireless link; both core backbone radio and customer links.
- Prepare the as-maintained documentation and generate configuration database within region/subregion for efficient network management
- for the O&M Unit
- Ensure adequate and comprehensive survey reports for new customer link deployment or relocation of existing ones.Support status reports are done and submitted timely as fault docket for review.
Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills
- Candidates should possess minimum of an OND.
Functional Skills:
- Customer centric and stakeholders management.
- Ability to solve complex problems in the shortest available time using own analytical skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with customers, vendors and members of team.
- Good knowledge of installation and configuration of Radio devices and its relevant integration to the network (LAN & WAN).
- Ability to use network monitoring/optimization devices (software/hardware) to proffer solutions to network related problem and optimize network performance where necessary.
- Understanding of the base station power supply (dc and ac) architecture and interconnectivity of relevant power devices/components.
- A hand on experience with use of command prompt and Ping as tool for troubleshooting is desirable.
- Experience with Wireless Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multi point technologies is desirable.
- Experience with leading inter-departmental negotiations, consensus building to reach common technical solutions.
- Strong telecommunications, IP design skills, in depth knowledge of IP Network Troubleshooting.
- Sharp analytical and logical reasoning.
- Work effectively with own initiative with minimal supervision and also as a part of a team.
Demonstrate (Key Competencies):
- Technical Site Survey (TSS) on wireless radio platforms. Using tools like GPS, Binacular, Compasses and Microwave link budget software for data collection and analysis.
- Implementation and integration of new radio and microwave links.
- Radio: License and license exempt implementation and troubleshooting.
- Ensure JCC are signed off and submitted to Billing Unit for subsequent invoicing.
- Have basic knowledge of IP network design, implementation, maintenance to support voice, data.
- Good rigging skills radio technologies.
- Basic knowledge of Antenna technology
- Basic knowledge of frequencies and Modulation schemes.
- Very good knowledge of various Cable and connector types and the termination of the connectors
- Adequate computer knowledge.
- Recommend and modify network configuration to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
