We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: People and Culture Officer (Talent Acquisition)
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Contract: 3 year renewable
Duties
Requisition and approval management:
- Follow-up and secure approval for all NRS requisitions to fill approved vacancies
- Manage the short-term requisition and hiring process, seeking necessary approvals, facilitating selection, and preparing contract letters for all short-term staff and local consultants as may be assigned.
Interview, documentation, and on-boarding process:
- Assist in placing vacancy advertisements both internal and external on the intranet and internet.
- Carry out all pre-interview preparation formalities, facilitate interviews and follow up with candidates and interview panel members.
- Organize and liaise with P&C sectional heads on orientation for new hires.
- Collate information on new hires and liaise with employee services on background checks;
- Ensure and follow up with appointed candidates on referees and medical examination.
Report and chargeback management:
- Collate and prepare monthly recruitment service chargeback for all NRS and STS recruiting activities.
- Regularly collect and prepare comprehensive reports with inputs from scientists, unit heads, and supervisors for the review of job descriptions and position classification for NRS.
- Collate monthly recruitment and related statistics for the Talent Acquisition Office report.
- Constantly update the recruitment requisition tracker and present reports.
- Assist the Talent Acquisition in contributing to data for annual report information.
Records and Documentation:
- Maintain effective records (electronic and manual) and ensure prompt retrieval of information for short-term staff.
- Create personal files for new hires and ensure all mandatory documents are in place, maintaining effective filing system that ensures ease of retrieval of recruitment and selection information.
Liaison with external clients:
- Ensure payments to vendors for advertisements placed on national newspapers.
- Liaise with other units as necessary.
- Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor or Head of Unit.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- B.Sc / HND in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or any other related field with a minimum of four (4) years experience in talent acquisition management with proven experience in contract management and selection in a well-structured environment.
Competencies:
The ideal candidate must:
- Have excellent interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Be proficiency the use of human resource information systems (HRIS), recruitment software, and similar digital applications or software’s.
- Have excellent customer service skills and team orientation
- Have ability to work in a cross-cultural and multidisciplinary environment.
