Legal Officer & Executive Assistant at Octoplus Marketing

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain executives’ schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Assist in legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Facilitate effective communication between legal and marketing teams.
  • Coordinate meetings, conferences, and events, ensuring seamless logistics.
  • Organize and maintain legal files, contracts, and confidential information.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and deadlines.
  • Monitor the maintenance of the registers and other records required to be maintained by the Company under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).
  • Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, answering calls, and managing office supplies.
  • Provide support for special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support to the MD Covering the purview of the company’s business and professional activities.

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
  • Legal Secretary certification is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Officer/Executive Assistant.
  • 1-2 Years work Experience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and legal software/tools.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and processes.
