Description
The Lukatskaya and Herrmann Laboratories invite applications for a fully funded PhD scholarship in electrochemical and materials engineering for nerve regeneration. This groundbreaking project involves interdisciplinary research combining materials science, fundamental electrochemistry, advanced fabrication techniques, and surgical implementation in clinically relevant models at Balgrist University Hospital.
The PhD scholarship focuses on advancing nerve regeneration through innovative electrochemical and material-centric approaches. The project includes the design and synthesis of electroconductive materials, development and characterization of conduit prototypes, and integration of smart materials and sensing technologies into the conduit design. The research will be conducted in collaboration with a dynamic team of scientists, engineers, and surgeons at Balgrist University Hospital.
