Job Position: Data Analyst

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

1. The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support strategic decision-making within the organization.
2. This role involves working with large datasets, creating meaningful reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uncover insights and trends.

Job Responsibilities
Data Collection and Cleaning:

1. Collect and compile data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
2. Clean and preprocess data to prepare it for analysis.

Data Analysis:

1. Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
2. Conduct statistical analysis and data modeling to extract actionable insights.

Report Generation:

1. Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key findings to stakeholders.
2. Develop automated reporting systems for regular data updates.

Data Interpretation:

1. Translate complex data into understandable and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
2. Provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making.

Data Quality Assurance:

1. Monitor data quality and integrity, implementing measures to identify and rectify data discrepancies.
2. Develop and maintain data quality standards and procedures.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

1. Collaborate with departments across the organization to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
2. Work with IT teams to ensure data accessibility and security.

Continuous Improvement:

1. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data analysis.
2. Identify opportunities to improve data collection and analysis processes.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Excel).
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent data visualization and reporting abilities.
6. Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.
7. Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
8. Effective communication and presentation skills.
9. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
