We seek multiple master’s and Ph.D. students to join our transportation labs in Fall (Sept) 2024. The positions will be fully funded with a tuition waiver and competitive stipend. Selected candidates will work in the general area of Smart Future Transportation Systems.

Students with backgrounds (not limited to) in transportation engineering, civil engineering, economics, mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering, control, automotive engineering, human factors, ergonomics, policy, etc., are encouraged to apply

Tuition fee is waived:
– Around KRW 10,000,000 per semester

Stipend (monthly financial support):
– Around KRW 1,400,000 for M.S. students
– Around KRW 1,800,000 for Ph.D. students


Living expenses :
– Living cost in Daejeon, Korea, is very low compared to Europe or Australia.
– Quality Dormitory: 94,000 ~ 280,000 KRW (per month) KAIST dorm fees are generously low compared to other universities in Korea. Dorm fees will depend on whether you are assigned to a two ~ three-person room or a single room. All dorm rooms have desks, chairs, closets, and beds.
– Food: 3,000 ~ 7,000 KRW (per meal)
– Medical aid fee: 30,000 KRW (per semester)
Even if you treat it outside hospitals, you can get a medical fee deduction.
