PhD and Postdoctoral positions in Quantum Sensing, Leipzig University, Germany

Expires on: 04/30/2024

Description

Join our dynamic and rapidly expanding research group at Leipzig University! We are currently offering multiple PhD and Postdoc positions in the captivating field of quantum science and technology. Dive into cutting-edge research on diamond qubit systems with real-world applications.

As part of our international research group, you will contribute to pioneering research in quantum sensing. Our focus lies in utilizing optically addressable defect centers, such as Nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond, as spin qubits. These qubits enable the implementation of quantum algorithms and enhance sensitivity in nanoscale sensing. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Building and optimizing diamond qubit systems
  2.  Conducting experimental research on quantum algorithms and nanoscale sensing
  3.  Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to apply quantum sensors in material and life sciences
  4. Exploring nanoscale NMR spectroscopy techniques for single molecule analysis and cell dynamics studies

Requirements

We welcome applications from ambitious Postdoctoral fellows and PhD students with a passion for quantum science and technology. Candidates should possess a strong academic background in physics, engineering, or related fields.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications, including a motivation letter, CV, academic records, and contact information for two references, to nabeel.aslam(at)uni-leipzig.de. Please indicate whether you are applying for a PhD or Postdoc position in the subject line of your email.
