Join our dynamic research team led by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Sellhorn as we contribute to the transregional DFG project TRR 266 Accounting for Transparency and the Sustainability Reporting Navigator (SRN). We are seeking highly motivated individuals to explore research questions in financial and sustainability reporting, contributing to both academic knowledge and the evolving field of sustainability reporting.

  1. Explore research questions related to financial and sustainability reporting.
  2. Focus on empirical work related to corporate mandatory and voluntary reporting practices, as well as the role of regulation and learning.
  3. Conduct tutorials in Bachelor and Master-level courses.
  4. Supervise students’ theses.
  5.  Present research at international conferences.
  6. Aspire to publish in leading international journals.
  7. Contribute as a team member to the activities of our institute and the Accounting & Taxation cluster.

Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, economics, information systems, or related field (preferably with a specialization in accounting, finance, data science, and/or sustainability management and reporting).
  •  Interest and motivation in the specified research areas.
  • Acquired empirical and data analytical skills, along with content-related knowledge in accounting theory and practice.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in English, ability to work in a team, independence, and high commitment.
