Expires on: 04/30/202

Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic PhD student to join the Quantum Metrology group at LaserLaB, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. The project focuses on precision measurements of weakly-bound states of H2+ in the THz range to test Quantum Electrodynamics (QED) predictions. The candidate will be involved in developing novel quantum technologies, including the construction of an ion trap for quantum-logic spectroscopy using H2+ and Be+ ions.

Eligibility

  1. Bachelor/Master’s degree in physics or physical chemistry.
  2.  Experience in atomic/molecular/optical physics and/or molecular spectroscopy.
  3. Affinity for spectroscopy and molecular physics.
  4.  Bright, enthusiastic, team-oriented, and eager to learn.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications, including a detailed CV, diploma, cover letter, and the names and contact details of two potential references, to dr. Maximilian Beyer.
