The University of Oulu, Finland, invites applications for a doctoral researcher position in the Hybrid Intelligence: Human-AI Co-evolution and Learning in multi-realities (HI) research programme. This opportunity, supported by the Academy of Finland, offers a dynamic role within the Faculty of Education and Psychology’s Learning and Learning Process, fostering international collaboration and cutting-edge research in the field of Hybrid Intelligence.

Study Area: The scholarship focuses on the multidisciplinary field of Hybrid Intelligence, encompassing emotion AI, learning processes, and perception engineering for AI-based solutions, particularly in education and nursing.

As a doctoral researcher, you will be part of the HI profiling research programme, conducting multidisciplinary research using advanced analytical methods, AI-driven learning analytics, and socio-technical systems for hybrid intelligence. The position involves working within a team, managing project-related tasks, and disseminating research findings in leading international scientific journals.

Eligibility: To succeed in this position, candidates should hold a Master’s degree in learning sciences, computer science, or a relevant field awarded not more than five years ago. A transdisciplinary research orientation, demonstrated research experience or interest, solid research and development skills, and excellent written and interpersonal communication skills in English are essential.
