As a PhD student in Synthetic Organic Materials, you will be responsible for designing, synthesizing, and characterizing open-shell molecular fragments of graphene, with a focus on investigating their properties and π-radical reactivity to develop new graphene-based materials.   • Completed (or soon to be completed) Master’s degree in chemistry (MSc or equivalent)
  • Outstanding academic record with excellent grades and graduation with honors

  • Proficiency in designing and planning complex synthetic sequences
  • Excellent English language skills (written and oral); German language proficiency is a plus but not mandatory
  • Experience with studying abroad (e.g., Erasmus, etc.) is welcome
