Postdoctoral Fellow in Molecular Mechanisms: Colorado State University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Nachappa and Mason labs. The researcher will investigate the genetic control of wheat stem sawfly resistance traits through greenhouse and field experiments. This includes genetic mapping, transcriptomics, and metabolomics experiments to explore molecular mechanisms underlying insect resistance. The position is based in Fort Collins, CO, and requires in-office/in-person work.

Qualifications 

  • Ph.D. degree in Entomology, Molecular Biology, Plant Breeding, or related field.
  • Strong publication record appropriate for career stage.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Expertise in molecular plant-insect interactions.
  • Lab and field experimentation experience.
  • Proficient in data analysis in the R environment.
  • Proven ability to conduct and publish independent research.
