Postdoctoral Position in Ageing and Diseases, University of Cologne, Germany

Expires on: 04/30/2024

Description

Join the Institute for Genome Stability in Aging and Disease, part of the CECAD Cluster of Excellence in Aging Research at the University of Cologne, Germany. We are investigating how genome instability drives somatic aging and affects reproduction, aiming to generate new knowledge on the fundamental role of DNA repair and the damage response in organismal health and genetic inheritance.

The selected candidate will be involved in investigating the fundamental role of DNA damage in aging and how the inheritance of stable genomes is regulated. Utilizing genetic and computational approaches, primarily in C. elegans but also in mammalian systems, the candidate will explore the molecular basis of aging and inheritance.

Qualification:

Applicants should have a PhD degree and a solid background in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, or bioinformatics.
