The UK College of Pharmacy, under the leadership of Dr. Chang-Guo Zhan, invites applications for the position of Post Doctoral Scholar in the Zhan Lab. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in pharmaceutical sciences, focusing on the construction of plasmids, site-directed mutagenesis, protein expression in mammalian eukaryotic cells, and protein purification. This is a full-time temporary position located in Lexington, KY.

The postdoc will be responsible for producing protein drug candidates through plasmid construction, site-directed mutagenesis, protein expression, and purification in mammalian eukaryotic cells. Additionally, the candidate will evaluate drug candidates in vitro and in vivo (mice and rats) for their activities relevant to clinical development. The role involves extensive research in pharmaceutical sciences, emphasizing both theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory skills.

Qualification:

  1. PhD in a relevant field.
  2. Research experience in the construction of plasmids, site-directed mutagenesis, protein expression in mammalian eukaryotic cells, and protein purification.
  3.  In vivo studies experience in mice and rats.
  4.  Ability to perform protein activity and stability analyses.
